ABOUT ME
I am a licensed independent clinical social worker with my own practice. In addition, I currently work as part of a group practice, as well as in a public school. I also consult to several public schools locally. I love what I do and I have been doing it in various settings for over 25 years. I enjoy working with and helping, both children and adults. I provide individual, couples, and family counseling.
In my role as a school counselor I have worked with children who present with moderate to severe special needs. In my own practice and my group practice I specialize in the areas of Anxiety, Depression, Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, Adjustment Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Prader-Willi syndrome, social skills training, as well as family, sibling, and couples therapy. In addition I often provide consultation around children's needs related to their school experiences.
My theoretical orientation is intergrationalist, drawing on Interpersonal, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused, Mindfulness and the Psychology of Happiness approaches.
I believe in boosting confidence, fostering adaptive thinking, and developing positive coping skills.
